COMMINTMENT TO PRIVACY

Your privacy and the security of your personal information are of utmost importance to us. We handle your personal information with the highest standards of safety and confidentiality. We do not sell or exchange your personal information with third parties. Personal data is only transferred when processing network payments and arranging deliveries.

NAME OF THE REGISTER

LapSnapper Customer Register (for LapSnapper online store).

PURPOSE OF PROCESSING PERSONAL DATA

The customer register is maintained to facilitate transactions and manage the relationship between LapSnapper and its customers. This includes:

  • Placing, processing, and tracking orders.
  • Handling complaints and customer inquiries.
  • Allowing registered users to manage their orders and view their order history.

Creating an account is optional; orders can be placed without registering.

DATA STORED IN REGISTER

The following information may be collected and stored:

  • For companies: Company name
  • For all customers:
    • First and last name
    • Email address
    • Postal and billing address
    • Telephone number
    • Order history
    • Username and password (for registered users only)

SOURCE OF INFORMATION

Customer information is collected:

  • When an order is placed.
  • When a customer registers an account in the online store.

Orders can be placed without creating an account. Data related to an order is automatically deleted 10 years after the purchase. If a customer account remains inactive for 5 years, it is automatically removed from the register.

REGULAR TRANSFERS OF DATA

Customer data is accessible only to LapSnapper. However, for necessary transactions, we transfer:

  • Customer name, email, postal address, and phone number to PayPal or to Paytrail Plc for payment processing.
  • Customer name, email, postal address, and phone number to FedEx for delivery.
  • Data to authorities when legally required.

TRANSFER OF DATA OUTSIDE THE EU/EEA

Personal data is not transferred outside the European Union (EU) or European Economic Area (EEA).

SECURITY MEASURES

  • The register is stored on a secure server in Finland, hosted by a trusted provider.
  • Data transmission between the online store and the browser is encrypted.
  • Access to the register is restricted to authorized personnel with personal login credentials.

CUSTOMER RIGHTS

Right to Access

Customers can review their stored data via the “My Account” section or by contacting us directly.

Right to Rectification

Customers can correct inaccuracies in their data via the “My Account” section or by contacting us.

Right to Erasure

Personal data is deleted upon request unless legal obligations, open invoices, or pending deliveries prevent deletion.

COOKIES

EMAIL COMMUNICATION

Emails regarding inquiries, orders, and support should be sent to info@lapsnapper.com. Emails are stored for up to six years. Only authorized personnel have access to stored emails.

Payment processing is handled by PayPal or to Paytrail Plc. LapSnapper does not store or process credit card or other payment information directly.
